Prenuptual Agreements

A Prenuptial Agreement is a written agreement made by a couple who intend to get married and who wish to specify what would happen to the matrimonial assets in the event of a divorce.

At present Prenuptial Agreements are not enforceable by the Courts but in some cases the terms of the agreement will be considered by a Judge as an indication of the parties' financial intentions. It is extremely important that a Prenuptial Agreement is drafted correctly in order to ensure that it will be taken into account by the Court should there be a dispute in the future.

We are able to advise as to whether or not an agreement would be appropriate for you and if so can draft an agreement on your behalf.
